About Venezuela crypto usage

Hi guys, I'm Venezuelan living here.
I have been posting updates about the crypto situation here in Venezuela.
Usually the main trade amount is by Localbitcoin, the traded weekly there is around 500 BTC. From Bs. (Bolivares) to BTC and from BTC to Bs.
Considering the current situation of the country, where minimum monthly wage is around 5 USD (800,000 Bs.) and the goverment regulated some prices and one kilo of meat is around 700,000 Bs. (almost one month of wage) .
I think 500 BTC per week is a respectable amount. The usage of origin of these amount of money is not clear to me, I think miners, people get paid in BTC, people that send remitances to their families in Venezuela and so on.
Traki is a store like Sears maybe, the have been accepting cryptos for like a year they use a POS made by Cryptobuyer and I really don't understand how it works (I think you simple have to wait for the confirmation at least 1).
https://imgur.com/a/YCKNBY1
They accept BTC, ETH, DASH, LTC, BINANCE and TETHER.
DASH has a great marketing team, they managed to KFC, Churchs Chicken, Papa Jhons and Subway to accept DASH in some locations.

There are some stores that sell mining hardware (I think they have some relation with the goverment, because mining here is dangerous the police dont like you to mine and if they found out you are easily a ramson victim), this is a news of that store now accepting BTC cash (by the way the only accept crypto payments)

At today rate 43,500 BTC were traded during 2019 in Venezuela using LocalBitcoin, which is around 314,000,000 USD (leader in South America). Minimum wage is 3 USD per month. Today one BTC is around 314,000,000 Bs. (Bolivares)

Hi guys, me reporting again. Happy new year!
That is the volume ONLY using LocalBitcoin (LBTC), here people use Uphold, Airtm and other exchanges (even local ones).
Minimum wage (which is earned by a big chuck of the population, not like other countries) is 150.000 Bs. (Bolivares) wage (3 USD) + 150.000 Bs. food bonus (3 USD) PER MONTH.
Government gave away a 0.5 Petro airdrop to a lot of people two week ago as a "bonus", which is around 30 USD. More than a crypto, Petro works like an asset its USD value is fixed and the thing that changes is the Bs. (Bolivares) value.
From the crypto perspective, it was ok, even when I dont sympathize with the current government. Anyway most of the people exchanged it to fiat to purchase food, even when the USD price of the petro is fixed as there is a lot of offer and low demand, people are paying low.
This is a way of direct subside to people in need instead of subsiding the final products. So they are moving a little to the center from the left.
Biggest bank note is 50,000 Bs. which is around 1 USD. You need to use debit and credit, bank transfer, cryptos and USD to pay anything. There is a big department store, called Traki that accepts (besides USD and Bolivares) ETH, BTC, LTC and PETRO.
This after 5 zeroes were shaved from the currency less than a year ago and 3 zeroes more 12 years ago. So that banknote would be 5,000,000,000,000 Bs.
Here in Venezuela situation is really hard, some people dont believe that amount is the minimum wage. I work and earn a little more than that (anyway, the amount is really low, I'm sure with that amount I would be living homeless in Colombia, Peru or Panama for example), usually get some donations from redditors (I really thank them!) and do some freelancing work (translating mostly) and it is really hard to keep up daily. Sometimes people encourage me to keep posting.
Scarcity has lowered because goverment "opened" a little (their "center" movement), you can find a lot of products now at the stores and supermarkets (national production or imported), if you have a good wage or income you will be "better" now but if you are old and your only income is around one or two minimum wage, you cannot even enter the stores and you only can but two kilos of meat with your monthly wage.

Official rate (Venezuelan Central Bank http://bcv.org.ve/ ) is 46.620 Bs. (Bolivares, national currency) per each USD. Street rate is almost the same.

Weekly Wrap 08/05

Market News
The stock market performed well this week as the tech-heavy benchmark, Nasdaq, closed positive for the year. The growth was mainly spurred on by companies such as Amazon, Apple and Microsoft who are expected to emerge from the coronavirus pandemic even stronger than before. With the virus leaving workers at home and increasing e-commerce sales, it is expected that these companies will see significant growth. The S&P 500 is also up almost 2%, with its communication services sector — which includes Facebook and Google’s parent company, Alphabet performing well this week.
Gold rose by almost 2% this week and is holding steady as the financial markets await United States payroll data. This is required to shed more light on the state of the economy after the release of weak economic indicators that have raised expectations of more Fed stimulus measures. The expected negative interest rates and another round of Fed stimulus is currently supporting the gold price, as well as the current tensions between China and the United States over the coronavirus crisis.
The cryptoasset market had a stellar week as Bitcoin rose by more than 15% and topped the $10,000 mark. This was fuelled by positive price expectations surrounding the Bitcoin halving event. Other top cryptoassets also performed well as interest in the cryptoasset market continues to increase.

Freelancing guide for beginners in Venezuela(Without Programming Skillls) / Guía de Freelance para principiantes en Venezuela (Sin conocimiento de programación)

Hello reddit! My name is LinkToU, and i’ve been commissioned by u/justgord to share some of my freelancing experience, living in Venezuela. It might not be much, but hopefully it'll help some people get started.
I’ve seen countless numbers of posts here in this subreddit, asking for advice on how to get started, and what are the best ways to receive money, so those are topics i’ll be touching upon in this guide.
As the title says, this is a guide that requires NO programming skills, this is meant to be a guide towards beginners, and people that are having a rough time, like i was, two and a half years ago, before getting into this.

First of all, i recommend reading this guide through google docs, because i'm not too familiar with reddit's formatting, and i think this version just looks better: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DotVUAtEAUXfgTAhDZtmylTzA4nImhoAGZCI-8XdKtM/edit?usp=sharing

Now, without further ado, let’s dive right into this.

What type of work can you expect to find?
There are actually a few types of jobs that you can easily find without any specific skill, for example, translations, lead generation, data entry, transcriptions, writing articles, and even being a virtual assistant. This list could go on and on, but i’ll just give you a couple websites where you can find these types of work, and you can go figure out what’s best for you.

Where to find work?
Most of the freelance work i've done it's been through two major websites, so i'll talk a little bit about them and about my experience with each.

Spare5 (https://app.spare5.com/) is the crowdworking website that got me into this, . This is basically a crowdworking website where you’ll be reviewing different images, annotating and drawing different polygons to help train AI to identify everyday objects.
Getting started in this page is the hardest part, but i’d say it’s just as hard as it was back in 2017 when i started.
You’ll first have to complete every tutorial, then move on to the qualifiers and onto paid tasks (be sure that you understand every task before diving into them, because if you don’t perform well on your paid tasks, they’ll be taken away from you, and you might even get permanently banned).
The minimum payment is $1, and the payment method that they use is PayPal, you don’t need to have a verified Paypal account, and you WILL NOT get your account limited by just receiving money from this page.
Like i said, the hardest part of this page is to get started, as tasks will be scarce, so try not to make any mistakes, and do every task as best as you can, this will guarantee that they give you even more tasks, and eventually, you’ll be assigned permanent tasks, and your dashboard will look something like this: https://imgur.com/a/TSUASME , as you notice, the payment for each task is really low but don’t get discouraged, you’ll want to find one that is easy to do, and that you can memorize the instructions, i’ve made up to $20 in just a couple of hours, out of easy tasks that paid 0.2c each. Of course, you’ll need practice, Practice makes perfect.
I have NOT been working on this page lately, because the payment per tasks has been diminished, and tasks only get more and more complicated to complete.

Next, is Reddit, more specifically, the subreddit where i’ve found most of my freelancing jobs, is /slavelabour , where people post any kind of job that they need done (Seriously, any, i’ve seen many kinds of crazy stuff going on there), along with a payment offer, and usually a method.
This one is pretty good, since you can find different kinds of work based on your skills, i’ve mostly done data entry types of jobs there, but there are many others easy for beginners, you just have to keep an eye out for when any potential job gets posted.
Other similar subreddits that i frequent, but aren’t as active as /slavelabour are: /Jobs4Bitcoins/ , /WorkOnline/ /ForHire/ Follow the same advice that i will give for /slavelabour , as these work similarly.

Those are the main two websites where i've worked at for the past two years, there are some others that i know of, but since i haven't used them, i don't know how they work.

Now, let's talk a little bit about payment methods, and what are some good options for receiving your money once you've got yourself some gigs.

Payment methods:
Now that you know what are some good places to get started, let's talk about what's the best place to receive your payments, and keep your money safe. I’ll take about the few methods that i’ve used myself, such as PayPal, Uphold, AirTM, and most recently, Cryptos.

Where to receive your payments?

Uphold is another cloud based financial services platform, similar to PayPal, and with similar fees. The good thing about this platform, is that you can exchange your funds from USD to Crypto, and many other currencies, at the cost of a relatively small fee.
I haven’t used this method too much myself, as i used this mainly for it’s Virtual Credit Card feature, which is temporarily not available.

AirTM is an e-wallet where you can keep your money, and exchange it to other currency, or buy USD with your local money, all in the same platform.
Out of all the options i'm going to list for payment methods, this is my least favorite, as the fees are incredibly high, and in my opinion, what this website provides isn't worth it.
I haven’t had much experience with AirTM, as the fees are ridiculous, but i’ve used it and i’ll share my experiences.

Finally, Cryptocurrencies, i’ve only started using this method recently, and i can already say, this is my favorite so far, and the method i’ll mainly use from now onwards, as this has proven to be really easy to set up, and in my opinion, the best option for receiving payments, as you’ll pay minimum fees for your transactions, keep your identity safe, and the exchange rate to Venezuela’s currency is really good.
I’d say there is no downside to receiving your payments here, as even if you were worried by the Crypto’s price dropping, you could easily use a third party website to exchange your Crypto, to USD in any other platform you’d like.
The cryptocurrencies that i’ve used are Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), all of the transactions that i’ve done haven’t taken longer than 30 minutes, with the exception of using SideshiftAI to exchange my BCH into BTC, which took about an hour. Setting up a wallet for these is rather easy, however here’s a quick guide for BTC and BCH. https://bitcoin.org/en/getting-started .
Also, another point in Crypto’s favor, is that some stores have begun accepting cryptos as a payment method, there’s an app in the Google Play Store named “CryptoLugaresVE” With a list of places accepting crypto as a payment method.

Finally, i’ll talk a little bit about the couple websites that you can use to safely exchange money from USD, to Venezuela’s currency. Other than these, you’d have to find someone of your trust to exchange your currency.

Where to safely exchange your earnings to Venezuela’s currency?

That’s it for now, I’ll probably update the guide as i learn more and try out new stuff, as well as with your feedback. I just want to thank u/justgord for giving me the opportunity to share all of this with you guys!

Hola Reddit!

Trezor support is expected to land in their next firmware update.
Decred is now supported by Riemann, a toolbox from James Prestwich to construct transactions for many UTXO-based chains from human-readable strings.
Atomic swap with Ethereum on testnet was demonstrated at Blockspot Conference LATAM.
Two new faces were added to contributors page.
Dev activity stats for May: 238 active PRs, 195 master commits, 32,831 added and 22,280 deleted lines spread across 8 repositories. Contributions came from 4-10 developers per repository. (chart)

Network

Hashrate: rapid growth from ~4,000 TH/s at the beginning of the month to ~15,000 at the end with new all time high of 17,949. Interesting dynamic in hashrate distribution across mining pools: coinmine.pl share went down from 55% to 25% while F2Pool up from 2% to 44%. [Note: as of June 6, the hashrate continues to rise and has already passed 22,000 TH/s]
Staking: 30-day average ticket price is 91.3 DCR (+0.8), stake participation is 46.9% (+0.8%) with 3.68 million DCR locked (+0.15). Min price was 85.56. On May 11 ticket price surged to 96.99, staying elevated for longer than usual after such a pump. Locked DCR peaked at 47.17%. jet_user on reddit suggested that the DCR for these tickets likely came from a miner with significant hashrate.
Nodes: there are 226 public listening and 405 normal nodes per dcred.eu. Version distribution: 45% on v1.2.0 (up from 24% last month), 39% on v1.1.2, 15% on v1.1.0 and 1% running outdaded versions.

ASICs

Obelisk team posted an update. Current hashrate estimate of DCR1 is 1200 GH/s at 500 W and may still change. The chips came back at 40% the speed of the simulated results, it is still unknown why. Batch 1 units may get delayed 1-2 weeks past June 30. See discussions on decred and on siacoin.
@SiaBillionaire estimated that 7940 DCR1 units were sold in Batches 1-5, while Lynmar13 shared his projections of DCR1 profitability (reddit).
A new Chinese miner for pre-order was noticed by our Telegram group. Woodpecker WB2 specs 1.5 TH/s at 1200 W, costs 15,000 CNY (~2,340 USD) and the initial 150 units are expected to ship on Aug 15. (pow8.comtranslated)
Another new miner is iBelink DSM6T: 6 TH/s at 2100 W costing $6,300 (ibelink.co). Shipping starts from June 5. Some concerns and links were posted in these two threads.

Integrations

A new mining pool is available now: altpool.net. It uses PPLNS model and takes 1% fee.
Another infrastructure addition is tokensmart.io, a newly audited stake pool with 0.8% fee. There are a total of 14 stake pools now.
Exchange integrations:
OpenBazaar released an update that allows one to trade cryptocurrencies, including DCR.
@i2Rav from i2trading is now offering two sided OTC market liquidity on DCUSD in #trading channel.
Paytomat, payments solution for point of sale and e-commerce, integrated Decred. (missed in April issue)
CoinPayments, a payment processor supporting Decred, developed an integration with @Shopify that allows connected merchants to accept cryptocurrencies in exchange for goods.

Adoption

New merchants:
An update from VotoLegal:
michae2xl: Voto Legal: CEO Thiago Rondon of Appcívico, has already been contacted by 800 politicians and negotiations have started with four pre-candidates for the presidency (slack, source tweet)
Blockfolio rolled out Signal Beta with Decred in the list. Users who own or watch a coin will automatically receive updates pushed by project teams. Nice to see this Journal made it to the screenshot!
Placeholder Ventures announced that Decred is their first public investment. Their Investment Thesis is a clear and well researched overview of Decred. Among other great points it noted the less obvious benefit of not doing an ICO:
By choosing not to pre-sell coins to speculators, the financial rewards from Decred’s growth most favor those who work for the network.
Alex Evans, a cryptoeconomics researcher who recently joined Placeholder, posted his 13-page Decred Network Analysis.

Marketing

@Dustorf published March–April survey results (pdf). It analyzes 166 responses and has lots of interesting data. Just an example:
"I own DECRED because I saw a YouTube video with DECRED Jesus and after seeing it I was sold."
May targeted advertising report released. Reach @timhebel for full version.
PiedPiperCoin hired our advisors.
More creative promos by @jackliv3r: Contributing, Stake Now, The Splitting, Forbidden Exchange, Atomic Swaps.

Community Discussions

Community stats: Twitter 39,118 (+742), Reddit 8,167 (+277), Slack 5,658 (+160). Difference is between May 5 and May 31.
Reddit highlights: transparent up/down voting on Politeia, combining LN and atomic swaps, minimum viable superorganism, the controversial debate on Decred contractor model (people wondered about true motives behind the thread), tx size and fees discussion, hard moderation case, impact of ASICs on price, another "Why Decred?" thread with another excellent pitch by solar, fee analysis showing how ticket price algorithm change was controversial with ~100x cut in miner profits, impact of ticket splitting on ticket price, recommendations on promoting Decred, security against double spends and custom voting policies.
@R3VoLuT1OneR posted a preview of a proposal from his company for Decred to offer scholarships for students.
dcrtrader gained a couple of new moderators, weekly automatic threads were reconfigured to monthly and empty threads were removed. Currently most trading talk happens on #trading and some leaks to decred. A separate trading sub offers some advantages: unlimited trading talk, broad range of allowed topics, free speech and transparent moderation, in addition to standard reddit threaded discussion, permanent history and search.
Forum: potential social attacks on Decred.
Slack: the #governance channel created last month has seen many intelligent conversations on topics including: finite attention of decision makers, why stakeholders can make good decisions (opposed to a common narrative than only developers are capable of making good decisions), proposal funding and contractor pre-qualification, Cardano and Dash treasuries, quadratic voting, equality of outcome vs equality of opportunity, and much more.
One particularly important issue being discussed is the growing number of posts arguing that on-chain governance and coin voting is bad. Just a few examples from Twitter: Decred is solving an imagined problem (decent response by @jm_buirski), we convince ourselves that we need governance and ticket price algo vote was not controversial, on-chain governance hurts node operators and it is too early for it, it robs node operators of their role, crypto risks being captured by the wealthy, it is a huge threat to the whole public blockchain space, coin holders should not own the blockchain.
Some responses were posted here and here on Twitter, as well as this article by Noah Pierau.

Markets

The month of May has seen Decred earn some much deserved attention in the markets. DCR started the month around 0.009 BTC and finished around 0.0125 with interim high of 0.0165 on Bittrex. In USD terms it started around $81 and finished around $92, temporarily rising to $118. During a period in which most altcoins suffered, Decred has performed well; rising from rank #45 to #30 on Coinmarketcap.
The addition of a much awaited KRW pair on Upbit saw the price briefly double on some exchanges. This pair opens up direct DCR to fiat trading in one of the largest cryptocurrency markets in the world.
An update from @i2Rav:
We have begun trading DCR in large volume daily. The interest around DCR has really started to grow in terms of OTC quote requests. More and more customers are asking about trading it.
Like in previous month, Decred scores high by "% down from ATH" indicator being #2 on onchainfx as of June 6.

David Vorick (@taek) published lots of insights into the world of ASIC manufacturing (reddit). Bitmain replied.
Bitmain released an ASIC for Equihash (archived), an algorithm thought to be somewhat ASIC-resistant 2 years ago.
Three pure PoW coins were attacked this month, one attempting to be ASIC resistant. This shows the importance of Decred's PoS layer that exerts control over miners and allows Decred to welcome ASIC miners for more PoW security without sacrificing sovereignty to them.
Upbit was raided over suspected fraud and put under investigation. Following news reported no illicit activity was found and suggested and raid was premature and damaged trust in local exchanges.
Circle, the new owner of Poloniex, announced a USD-backed stablecoin and Bitmain partnership. The plan is to make USDC available as a primary market on Poloniex. More details in the FAQ.
Poloniex announced lower trading fees.
Bittrex plans to offer USD trading pairs.
@sumiflow made good progress on correcting Decred market cap on several sites:
speaking of market cap, I got it corrected on coingecko, cryptocompare, and worldcoinindex onchainfx, livecoinwatch, and cryptoindex.co said they would update it about a month ago but haven't yet I messaged coinlib.io today but haven't got a response yet coinmarketcap refused to correct it until they can verify certain funds have moved from dev wallets which is most likely forever unknowable (slack)

Bitcoin (BTC) VS Litecoin (LTC)
Real Madrid – Barcelona, Apple – Samsung, EE. UU.

225 Good YouTubers & 30 Bad Ones! (Help Me Verify)

I am finalizing my list for CryptoInfluence - The link is a beta version.
I've made several topics on this Reddit asking for input and received a tons of suggestions!
This site is an offshoot of my popular Socialbook.io platform which is used by YouTubers to help get Sponsorships/Partnerships from brands. Brands use the platform search for YouTubers to advertise their products. Once the list is narrowed down they view their profiles and can choose to purchase their advanced profiles in order to view their audience demographics & to contact them.
YouTubers get 50% of the price paid by brands to view their profiles & contact them. They keep 100% of whatever sponsorship deal they negotiate. This has been very successful so far. Up until recently the most popular searches were were Gaming & Fashion YouTubers.
Over the summer we never received any requests for Crypto Influencers. Now we get 12 a day, making Crypto YouTubers our top category!
The biggest complaint is that brands keep choosing the wrong ones and getting scammed. The Crypto Boom is so new that their are not very many "trusted" channels yet. There are no million+ channels. Most of the channels are a few months old between 1-20k subscribers. Its very difficult for them to choose.
The site should do 3 things:
1. Allow brands to easily find quality YouTubers to partner with. Leading to both sides to profit.
2. Blacklist the scammer channels, and keep them from monetizing their channels. (There will be a form to report Scammers)
3. Clear out my inbox ;-)
Below is the current list, sorted by number of subscribers (except the bottom 10 or so). Please help me verify any scammers. The ones I really need help with are at the very below. Also, if you know of any good channels that I don't have listed please let me know! Thanks a bunch!
When the site is done, the channels will be ranked via an algorithm that is less dependent upon subscriber numbers, and more dependent upon relevant content, activity, and audience engagement. This should be able to properly rank that "Good" channels from the more "Mediocre" ones. There will also be a sorter (similar to our advanced search) where you can re-list the channels based on audience demographics, country, language, average views, etc.

HALVING IMPLEMENTATION IN ONIXCOIN?

Since the value of OnixCoin is so low at the moment, I believe it's neccessary for the developers to make a halving of the miners reward. The crypto community has already seen the benefits this has in different cryptos, like Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin, with halvings that helped the cryptos price and value to rise.

I want to know what the community thinks about this idea? Do you think it's good for OnixCoin to go through a halving process or just leave it like it is?

I want to read what everyone thinks.

http://www.pittsburghpablog.com/2018/04/future-insurance-currency-bitcion-price.html <<<<<

Are the eth samsung news correct?

SAMSUNG STARTS PRODUCTION OF ASIC CHIPS TO MINE CRYPTOCURRENCIES
Samsung starts production of ASIC chips to mine cryptocurrencies
Samsung is best known for the production of chips for their smartphones, but according to reports the firm has entered fully into the design and production of ASIC chips, integrated circuits for specific applications, intended for bitcoin mining .
Samsung Electronics finalized the development of an ASIC chip , says the South Korean web site The Bell , and began this month the mass production phase of this type of chips , in association with chip maker Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), which is supplier of the Chinese manufacturer of Bitmain mining equipment.
The use of graphic cards in cryptocurrency mining equipment has given way to the design of specialized chips, such as the so-called FPGA, of matrix design, which are capable of performing computational calculations in parallel. More recently, the ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) models, designed for exclusive use in mining, have been developed.
Samsung had already shown its interest in diversifying its products towards the mining field, first with an experimental design of a mining rig controlled by a Galaxy Tab tablet and integrated with 40 Galaxy S5, shown last October, which ran an operating system special. The company then announced when it intended to launch a 7-nanometer chip for mining , in close competition with Intel, TSMC, Global Foundries and GMO.
Although graphics cards show lower performance in mining, they continue to be used intensively. Samsung Electronics already produces memories of 16 Gb GDDR6, twice as fast as the GDDR5 memories and with less power consumption, allowing to increase the performance of graphics cards by 35%.
It is still premature to specify if this association of Samsung to enter the mining sector, will increase its profits in the semiconductor sector. However, the position of TSMC as a supplier of the Bitmain giant can give Samsung a competitive strength in this extension of its business.
Regarding other announcements related to mining in the beginning of 2018, Kodak lent its name to a mining team that offers rent with a contract for two years, plus half of the profits obtained. With the current price of bitcoin, the Kodak Kashminer would be throwing losses.

El “Too big to fail” se ha vuelto “Too failed to solve”.

¿Miner to buy bitcoins?

Since the bitcoins acquired monetary value bitcoiners almost all have been at some point the following question: Should involved in mining, or does better directly buy bitcoins?

One factor often mentioned, but really should not determine the answer, is the level of difficulty in obtaining bitcoins via mining. All we know is that it will be related in direct proportion to the computational power to provide the total mining and computational power of the network will increase or decrease according to the price of bitcoin (miners tend to invest more, and keep their computers on longer if the price justifies bitcoin). But nobody knows what the level of difficulty in the future - even approximately, as no one knows for sure what the price of bitcoin in the future.
These are the factors to consider:
Access to technology. Cost of electricity. Space available for mining devices to work without disturbing the owner. Time to devote to the hardware and software updates. Time to replace or repair any damaged parts. Knowledge of the fundamentals of Bitcoin. Miner horizon. Miner risk appetite. In short, the balance must do each. But whatever the decision (to undermine, undermine and buy or buy), remember that it has never been very profitable mine bitcoins immediately settle. Luiscar, our guest columnist for today, focuses on the last three factors - the most important, yet which little is said about them - to explain why:
At the time when the difficulty was 1 mine, the miners spent electricity while bitcoins had no value, as they passed a few cents worth, it was better to spend 20 of them to acquire a lot of those who have the computer working constantly generating heat and noise, and consuming electricity. And so you can extrapolate this thought until today.
So why is this so? Well, for one simple law is the market and that higher investment risk greatest potential gains. The mining investment is less risky, especially before the ASICs, which direct purchase bitcoins. In the event that the criptomoneda happen to be zero, a buyer of bitcoins would lose all their investment, while a miner would retain the value of your equipment. The differentiating factor is reduced with mining systems by ASIC, since these devices are so specific that their market value will be correspondingly lower than the previous FPGAs and much lower than the old rigs GPU in the case of a stage bitcoin failure. That is, with the advent of the risk assumed ASICs miner approximates taking a buyer currency, so that the decision to opt for the mining industry is becoming more diffuse with respect to the purchase.
